 Abstract:

Facing times of emergencies, alike national security and pandemics, emergency laws are being activated all over the world. The purpose of my lecture is to point to various socio-political legal models that are exploring such processes of emergency laws. I will point to the limitations of those models and their virtues, placing the issue of uncertainty at the center of my analysis, combining studies from different fields in law, social sciences and disaster studies.
